《Summertime》是一首爵士樂，發行於1934年，原唱是George Gershwin。 提到爵士樂，George Gershwin可說是將爵士音樂帶到音樂殿堂上演出的重要推手。在創作上，他採用紐約街頭歌謠的三項要素：【爵士樂】、【切分音】與【藍調】，甚至是加上黑人靈歌素材，他將這些要素交織成獨特的風格。1935年在紐約首映的第一齣黑人的爵士樂歌劇(音樂劇)『波吉與貝絲』（Porgy and Bess），劇情描述一對黑人青年男女Porgy（乞丐）與Bess（蕩婦）的愛情故事，以及追求自由解放的經歷故事。《Summertime》是其中家喻戶曉的名曲之一，早已被無數的爵士樂手以各種形式翻唱及詮釋。
